About Meredith
Meredith Crawford is an FEI dressage trainer based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.
Cultivating a heart-centered relationship with the horse is the core of her philosophy.
Her creative, outside-the-box approach based on biomechanics, functional anatomy principles, and deep expertise in the Polyvagal theory and nervous system, allows her to be successful with a great number of horses in dressage while honoring the true heart of the discipline - the progressive physical development of the horse to prolong its usefulness.
She stubbornly believes that -
Dressage is for every horse
For any rider
To this, Meredith is adept working with horses of all breeds, like Arabians and Quarter Horses and even draft horses - as well as with Iberians and warmbloods that have gone on to participate in some of the biggest competitions in dressage sport.
Her students come from all types of backgrounds, including academic dressage, eventing, hunter/jumper and western disciplines.
Her approach speaks for itself - Meredith’s students have qualified for and won USDF Regional Championships, gone on directly to train with Olympic and Elite riders or found enjoyment with their equine partners in other corners of the horse world. But most importantly, they have become riders confident in their skills and equine partnerships.
Meredith teaches anyone open to learning. However, her work shines brightest with other dressage professionals and students at Third Level and above.
